Who We Work With

Furniture Assembly for Cafés, Restaurants & Hotels

INSTALLIX Services is a small Chicago-area crew that assembles furniture for independent cafés, restaurants, bars, bakeries and boutique hotels. Whether you're opening a new place, adding patio seating or replacing worn chairs, you get a written scope and price before the job and direct contact with the people doing the work.

Typical jobs include dining tables and chairs, bar stools, host stands, patio sets, lounge seating, lobby furniture, and guest room beds, nightstands, desks and wardrobes. For hotels, we handle selected FF&E, partial room refreshes and single floors.

We can work overnight, early morning or between lunch and dinner service so your dining room stays open. We break down boxes, move packaging to your designated dumpster or recycling area, and leave the space clean. We don't haul packaging or old furniture off-site.

We don't build booths or bars, install custom millwork, mount TVs or artwork, or do electrical and plumbing work. If part of your project needs that, we'll tell you up front so you can plan it with your contractor.

Scope of Work

What We Do — and What We Don’t

We assemble and install manufacturer-supplied furniture, fixtures, and equipment that arrives ready to assemble. From boxed components to a properly assembled, positioned, and ready-to-use commercial space, our team follows the product instructions and your project requirements.

Boxed commercial furniture ready for assembly

We Do

  • Unbox and organize manufacturer-supplied components
  • Assemble furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to manufacturer instructions
  • Level, align, and make normal assembly adjustments for proper function
  • Secure products using manufacturer-provided hardware and designated attachment points when applicable
  • Position completed items according to your approved floor plan or project layout
  • Consolidate cardboard and packaging and move it to the on-site collection, recycling, loading, or disposal area designated by the client
  • Leave the immediate installation area organized and ready for the next stage of your project

We Don’t

  • Manufacture or fabricate custom furniture, fixtures, or equipment
  • Cut products or drill custom holes that are not part of the manufacturer’s installation requirements
  • Haul packaging, debris, or old furniture off-site
  • Repair products or components that arrive damaged
  • Do electrical, plumbing, drywall or permit work
  • Alter a product to make an incorrect size, model, or configuration fit the space

If a part is missing, incorrect, or arrives damaged, we photograph and document the issue and provide the project contact with the information needed for the supplier or manufacturer claim. Whenever practical, we continue with unaffected items so the remaining installation can stay on schedule.

This scope applies to our standard commercial assembly and installation services. If your project has unusual site conditions or special requirements, send us the details before scheduling so we can confirm what is included. Client-provided on-site packaging collection or disposal access is required; off-site hauling is not included unless arranged separately.

FAQ

Restaurant & Hotel Furniture Assembly FAQs

Do you assemble hotel furniture?

Yes. We assemble manufacturer-supplied hotel furniture for guest rooms, lobbies and common areas: beds, nightstands, desks, dressers, wardrobes, seating and tables. We handle selected FF&E, partial room refreshes and single floors. Wall-mounted headboards and casegoods are reviewed individually.

Do you assemble restaurant furniture and seating?

Yes. We assemble restaurant and café tables, chairs, bar stools, host stands, lounge seating and patio furniture. We don't build booths, bars or built-in seating; those are handled by your contractor or millwork company.

Can you work around guest or business hours?

Depending on the project, phased, evening, weekend, or after-hours installation may be available. We can coordinate scheduling to help reduce disruption to guests, employees and normal property operations, including overnight or between lunch and dinner service.

What do you do with boxes and packaging after the job?

We break down cardboard, collect packaging and normal assembly debris, and move it to the dumpster, recycling area or loading dock your restaurant or hotel designates. Please confirm that spot before the job. We do not haul packaging or old furniture off-site, but we always leave the dining room or guest rooms clean and ready for service.

Are you insured, and can you provide a COI?

Yes. INSTALLIX Services carries General Liability insurance, and we can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) when your landlord, hotel management or property manager requires one. Send us the insurance requirements before the job so the certificate is prepared correctly.

Do you serve hospitality businesses across Chicagoland?

Yes. We serve restaurants, cafés and hotels in Chicago and nearby suburbs, roughly within an hour's drive, including Oak Brook, Naperville, Schaumburg, Evanston, Orland Park and Chicago neighborhoods. Farther out? Send the location, and we'll confirm.

What happens if furniture arrives damaged or parts are missing?

If we find shipping damage, missing hardware or incorrect components, we notify you right away and document the issue with photos for your supplier claim. We continue with unaffected pieces when practical and schedule a return visit once replacement parts arrive.

What information do you need to quote a restaurant or hotel job?

A furniture list or FF&E schedule, product links or supplier specs, quantities, the address, rooms or floors involved, elevator and loading dock access, preferred dates and hours, whether a COI is needed, and where packaging can be left on site.
